"Bad Moon Rising" - Creedence Clearwater Revival

First of all, Creedence Clearwater Revival is a great band. I would say that most people have heard some of their songs because they are featured in a fair amount of movies (if you've seen Remember the Titans, you've heard them before), but I don't think that people recognize who they are listening to. They are definitely old fashioned and their songs are pretty straightforward and simple; very real and acoustic. Most of their songs are pretty upbeat and fun, not necessarily songs that you would get up and dance to, but they're songs that you can bob your head to when you're walking around campus. However, if you aren't a fan of country then you probably won't like them as much. I would say that Creedence Clearwater Revival is borderline "redneck" music by today's standards, but that doesn't make them any less awesome. "Bad Moon Rising" features a twangy guitar that is more rock 'n roll than it is country, which gives the song a fun feel right off the bat. I think my favorite part of this song (and the band in general) is lead singer John Fogerty's voice. Something about it is so unique to me and I think it works really well with the guitar. It's not as raspy in this song as it is in other songs, but I still think that he has a great voice. The background is a driving beat that keeps the song going and supports the vocals really well.  It's nothing too fancy, yet it gets the job done. I think this song creates a really fun atmosphere.

  1. I definitely didn't recognize who was signing this song as it's popular but I would be one that didn't notice who sang it. I saw Remember the Titans once so I don't recall this song but this band is very fun along with the song. It gives off a fun rock vibe that I will get into more.
