"Sh-Boom" - The Chords

This is probably one of my all time favorite songs. I don't think you can be mad after you listen to it. I also think that there is some small part of people that wants to get up and dance every time they hear this song, because come on, it's just the best. And if you're dead inside and would never dance in a million years then you have to admit that it's still a good song. Also if you had any kind of childhood it probably reminds you of the movie "Cars". Their voices are so pleasant and light, and the harmonies are really good. The scatting throughout the song is a really nice touch; they're not singing any actual words but it helps to keep the song bouncy and fun and whimsical. I also like how sometimes the main singer does his own thing while the other singers kind of become instruments themselves & harmonize in the background. The little verse that starts out "Every time I look at you, something is on my mind . . ."  is definitely one of the best parts of the song. The vocals are taken over by a man who sings much lower than the main singer typically does, and this verse goes a long way to keep the song interesting and keep it from being repetitive refrains of "sh boom" over and over again. Then there's the instrumental section. The vocals are still there, but they are just harmonizing in the background and letting the band take over. It really gives the song a fun feel to be able to appreciate the talented musicians & how you don't necessarily need words to make a good song. If I had to describe this song in one word it would be "fun" :)
